Soul & SpiritPerformance Company

The Soul & Spirit Performance Company (SSPC) is a 501c3 non-profit extension of Soul & Spirit School of Performing Arts. SSPC is a team of dedicated and committed dancers between the ages of 6 and 18.  This team will perform regularly in the community while learning how to take their dancing to the next level as well as competing in select dance competitions.

Soul & Spirit Performance Company(SSPC) empowers youth with arts education. SSPC uses dance and the arts as a pathway for personal growth, academic support, and positive life skills development. SSPC produces an annual production of The Nutcracker, engaging students across age levels and abilities in dance training, rehearsals, and live performance, fostering discipline, teamwork, leadership, and artistic excellence. SSPC reduces financial barriers to by offering scholarships to ensure students from underserved communities can take part.

Dancers are required to take Ballet & styles competed.

What would your sponsorship mean to SSPC?

SSPC will provide scholarship opportunities to dancers in need of financial assistance. Performance Companies can be very expensive for families and many dancers will not be able to expand their talents without financial support. SSPC will be able to offer tuition reduction to dancers in the community with your tax-deductible donation.

Soul & Spirit Performance Company (SSPC) – Audition Information

Our Soul & Spirit Performance Company (SSPC) is for dancers ages 6–18 who are passionate about performing, growing technically, and representing our studio in the community, local productions and at select competitions.

Who Should Audition
Dancers who:
• Love to perform and work hard in class
• Want additional technique training
• Are interested in competing and performing in community events
• Are committed to teamwork, growth, and leadership

Audition Process
• Dancers attend a placement audition class where they will learn combinations in multiple styles.
• Teachers evaluate technique, performance quality, flexibility, musicality, and attitude.
• Previous competition experience is welcome but not required.

What to Wear
• Leotard
• Tights or dance shorts
• Jazz shoes or half soles
• Hair in a neat bun or ponytail

Company Expectations
• Company dancers train multiple days per week depending on routines assigned
• Required technique classes (including ballet) to support competition styles
• Participation in competitions and community performances throughout the season.

May 18-6:45pm for 6-9 yrs

May 19-6:45pm for 10-13 yrs, 7:45pm for 14& up
