Jenn Messer

Jenn Messer is the dance and performing arts administrator, helping run Soul & Spirit with class enrollment, parent liaison, marketing and day to day administration.  She also teaches and assists in the preschool classes.  She is a certified preschool dance instructor. Jenn is a lifelong dance mom, mother of 3, and grandmother of 2.

Rayna Hunt

Rayna Hunt has 12 years of dance experience and has been with Soul & Spirit since its opening. She possesses experience in classical tap, rhythm tap, jazz, jazz heels, lyrical, tumbling, acro, ballet technique, and classical ballet with pointe. She has danced with both performance and competition based companies. Miss Hunt has also studied certain dance anatomy as well as dance nutrition to better enhance her ability as both a dancer and teacher. She has been assisting and co-teaching classes for multiple years, though nothing could prepare her better than her three younger siblings! 

Irene Hunt

Irene began her dance journey at the age of 3 attending the same studio her father and uncles had attended as children.  Like most, she started with a combination of ballet and tap. At age 6, jazz was added to her classes. After age 12, her focus shifted to only classical ballet and pointe. She trained at the Belleville School of Ballet under various instructors (professional or former professional ballerinas) until graduation performing in 8 Nutcrackers starting as a soldier and ending at 16 as the Snow Queen. Her final role at 17 was Cinderella where her director/instructor allowed her to wear her own Cinderella costume.  Despite an invitation to attend the pre-professional school at then St. Louis Ballet Conservatory, she attended college for other endeavors. While there she took classes at local studios and the university major ballet class.  

She began teaching ballet, tap, and jazz in high school.  She taught both in the studio and in community centers.  She continued some teaching at a local studio while in college.  She is excited to have the opportunity to participate again in dance education and Nutcracker performances. Dance offers an unparalleled opportunity for growing in maturity and  discipline in a family or shared-goal environment.  Love of dance should be fostered to God's glory.

Piper Smith

Piper Smith has been dancing with Soul & Spirit since the opening.  She is a member of the Soul & Spirt Performance Company and is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, HipHop and Lyrical dance styles.  She has performed in productions, including Elemental and The Nutcracker. She is a Teaching Assistant in Beginner Tap & Beginner Jazz.

Madi Trent

Madi Trent has been dancing with Soul & Spirit since the opening with training in competitive gymnastics.  Madi is a member of the Soul & Spirit Performance Company and is trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro, Lyrical, Broadway Heels, HipHop and Contemporary. She has performed in productions including Elemental and The Nutcracker.  She is a Teaching Assistant in several Acro classes, Creative Movement and Preschool Ballet & Tap.

Ava Riley Modlin

Ava Modlin was been dancing with Soul & Spirit since the opening.  She is a Member of the Soul & Spirit Performance Company and is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Acro, and Contemporary.  She has performed in the production of The Nutcracker.  Ava is a Teaching Assistant in Beginner Ballet & Lyrical and Beginner Acro.

Zoe Raines

Zoe Raines has been dancing with Soul & Spirit since the opening. Zoe is a member of the Soul & Spirit Performance Company and is trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, HipHop, Broadway Heels and Contemporary. She has performed in productions including Elemental and The Nutcracker.  She is a Teaching Assistant in Preschool Ballet & Tap, Preschool Acro & Creative Movement.

Carli Ferran

Carli Ferran has been dancing with Soul & Spirit since their first season.  Carli is a member of the Soul & Spirit Performance Company and is trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro, Lyrical, Contemporary, Broadway Heels and Musical Theatre. She has performed in the production of The Nutcracker and is a dancer that enjoys shining on the stage.  She is a Junior Teaching Assistant in Preschool Ballet & Tap.
